The second game of the tournament saw the Mellieha Curves again in action, this time against the Zabbar Devils.  The Devils came out very strong and seized control of the game from the initial stages with good defence backing up debutant starting pitcher Joanne Mifsud. The Devils also produced good offence and during the first two innings scored 10 unanswered runs for a 10 – 0 lead. Mellieha did not demoralize themselves and in the third inning they scored four runs thanks to a Grand Slam by their player/coach Keith Bartolo, however in the bottom part of the inning, the Devils responded with 3 runs of their own to take a 9 run lead after 3 complete innings.  During the last two innings, Mellieha managed to score another four runs, but it was too late to trouble a good Devils side who scored 2 runs of their own for a final score of 15 to 8.
