ESF Coach and Empire for Slow-Pitch Clinic

23rd January 2010

The successful start to the co-ed slow pitch softball league and the various tournaments held during 2009 are showing positive results for the growth of softball in Malta. Already a fourth team is showing interest in signing up for the 2010 slow pitch activities.

In order to continue supporting the growth of softball MABS in conjunction with the European Softball Federation will be organising a slow pitch coaching and umpire clinic on the 6 and 7 February.

Leading the umpire clinic will be Duncan Mclean whilst the coaching clinic will be led by Sara Vertigan, who has been prominent in the slow pitch scene both within Great Britain and the European scene. She is currently Manager for the GB slow pitch national team.

Registration for the clinics can be done by email to playball@baseballsoftballmalta.org

The clinics will be held at the Maritim Antonine Spa in Mellieha on the 6 February at 2:00 PM and an practical session will be held on the 7th February at the Marsa Baseball/Softball field at 10:00 AM.
